Custom Fine Jewelry Design & Heirloom Remodeling

Motek Jewelry Design Studio creates bespoke fine jewelry and transforms inherited heirloom pieces in-house at our Airmont, NY studio, serving both local clients and nationwide projects via secure, fully insured transit.

1. Vision & Concept Submission

Submit your ideas, reference photos, stone specifications, or heirloom details using our project form below. We consult in person at our Airmont, NY showroom or virtually across the United States.

2. 3D CAD Modeling, Renderings & 3D Printed Resin Molds

Custom design services typically begin at $500, which includes initial design sketches, photorealistic 3D CAD renderings, and high-precision 3D printed resin models used directly to create the final production molds. We verify structural dimensions, stone clearances, and metal weights (calculated in grams).

3. Precious Metal Sourcing & Bench Fabrication

Upon client approval of the 3D model, a 50% deposit balance is due to proceed into casting and bench production:

  • Precious Metals: Solid 10k, 14k, and 18k gold (yellow, white, rose), high-density Pt950 platinum, and solid sterling silver (in specific instances when explicitly requested).

  • Gemstones: Natural or lab-grown GIA/IGI-certified diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, and fine colored gemstones, or client-provided heirloom stones.

  • Bench Mechanics: Lost-wax casting, micro-laser assembly, hand-prong and bezel setting, milgrain detailing, and high-polish hand finishing.

4. Studio Pickup or Insured UPS Delivery

Full payment must clear before pickup or final shipment. Pick up your completed piece at our Airmont, NY showroom, or receive it via fully insured UPS shipping with adult signature confirmation required.

Custom Policies, Protection & Terms

  • Payment Milestones: Custom design work begins with the initial $500 design deposit. A 50% production balance is due upon 3D model approval before casting begins, and the remaining balance must be paid in full prior to studio pickup or final dispatch.

  • Shipping Restrictions: Shipped orders require a physical residential or commercial street address with adult signature confirmation. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or freight forwarders.

  • Out-of-State Sales Tax: $0 sales tax is collected on orders shipped to delivery addresses outside New York State.

  • Custom Final Sale & Warranty: Custom-designed jewelry and remodeled heirloom pieces are built strictly to client-approved CAD specifications and are final sale once delivered. For coverage terms, visit our Warranty Policy.

  • Heirloom Gemstone Integrity: Client-supplied stones and heirloom mountings are evaluated under magnification prior to unset/reset operations. Any pre-existing fractures, inclusions, or heat sensitivities will be disclosed prior to bench work.

  • Jewelry Insurance Recommendation: Outbound shipments are insured during transit up to the declared value. We strongly recommend independent personal jewelry insurance (such as Jewelers Mutual) to protect your custom investment against loss, theft, or damage during daily wear.
