  • Chain & Clasp Repairs: Expert soldering for broken necklaces or bracelets, end-loop reinforcing, and sturdy clasp replacements.
  • Prong Retipping & Stone Setting: Rebuilding worn prongs, tightening loose diamonds, and sourcing matching accent gems.
  • Refinishing & Rhodium Plating: Deep ultrasonic cleaning, scratch removal, high-polish finishing, and fresh rhodium plating for white gold.

How Our Secure Mail-In Service Works

Sending your jewelry to our Airmont, NY studio is simple, transparent, and fully insured via UPS.

1. Submit Details

Fill out the repair intake form above with descriptions and photos. We will review your request and send preliminary instructions.

2. Upfront Insured Shipping

We collect the round-trip insured shipping fee upfront and email you a prepaid UPS shipping label. You pack your item securely in a sturdy box and drop it off at any official UPS location.

  • Requirements: Physical street addresses only. No P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO, or freight forwarders. Signature required upon delivery.

3. Video Unboxing & Inspection

For mutual security, we record a continuous video as every package is opened. Lead jeweler Bentzion inspects your item under magnification, weighs all metals, and confirms specs before sending you an exact, final line-item quote.

  • Tax: $0 sales tax for shipping addresses outside New York State.

4. Payment & Benchwork

No work begins until you approve the final quote and full payment clears. Once completed, your item is returned via insured UPS shipping with signature confirmation.

Policies & Disclaimers

  • Video Verification: Incoming packages are unboxed on camera to confirm contents and condition upon arrival.

  • Packaging: Clients must provide a solid outer box with proper cushioning. Do not use paper mailers or envelopes.

  • Scope of Work & Warranty: Work is performed strictly to the agreed written scope. Pre-existing wear or structural fatigue on vintage pieces is not covered once delivered. See our Warranty Policy for full details.

  • Insurance Recommendation: Carrier insurance covers transit up to the declared value. We strongly recommend holding personal jewelry insurance (such as Jewelers Mutual) for coverage during daily wear.
